VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES FOR 2008 - 2009:

Volunteer Program in Biodiversity and Ecology

You will participate in a project in the Amazonian Rainforest, focusing on the protection of water and endangered species, reforestation and prevention of deforestation, participative eco-tourism, and economic alternative resources.

Volunteer Program in Education

You will be placed in alternative schools and/or programs focusing on underprivileged children. Any skills you might have (music, crafts, computing, intercultural and bicultural education…) will be a plus.

Volunteer Program in Economic Development and Crafts

You will be placed in NGOs or local organizations working on the recuperation of traditional techniques and designs (weaving and / or ceramics), and also on the commercialization of their products. 

Volunteer Program in Women’s Issues

You will work in a project we support of an integrated women’s center (shelter, training, medical and legal aid). Specific skills or experience will be requested.

Volunteer Program in Health

You will work in a children’s clinic with babies and young children in need of special care. No specific skills or experience required.

Excursions

We recommend that you broaden your experience in Peru by traveling to various destinations such as Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Amazonian forest, the Nazca lines, etc….
